Locate Concord Recent Arrests

Concord recent arrests leave a paper trail across several offices rather than one city list. Concord, Kentucky runs no public booking roster of its own. So the first step is figuring out who made the arrest. Then find which jail took the person in. A search for who was arrested in Concord can then pull four useful records. The agency writes an arrest report. The jail logs the admission, and a custody alert can flag changes. Each record answers a different question. One source rarely tells the whole story. A release from jail settles nothing. The charge itself still stands on its own.

How Concord Custody Starts

Concord sits in Lewis County as its second incorporated city, and it is tiny. The Kentucky Association of Counties annexation booklet, using 2020 Census figures, puts the population at 19. City status still counts, though. It just does not come with its own public-safety apparatus. The county lists no standalone Concord Police Department, no Concord jail, and no city booking roster or daily arrest blotter.

Instead, an arrest inside Concord usually falls to the Lewis County Sheriff's Office, Kentucky State Police, or another agency with jurisdiction there. Each custodian builds its own file. The arresting agency holds the incident report. The jail holds the booking record. The court holds the case file. Mailing a request to "the city" alone may land in the wrong hands.

Note: A Concord booking entry lists the charges filed at intake and the jail holding the record, with the case details kept in a separate court file.

Where Concord Arrests Appear

Start with county and state government sources, since Concord publishes no channel of its own. The trail then branches by custody stage. One office can confirm an arrest was made. The receiving jail can say whether the person was booked, moved, or released. Court records track the case itself.

Timing creates gaps. A name may lag until intake finishes. Someone released quickly can vanish from a current roster. Transfers push names to other facilities. A person serving a state sentence may later show up in KOOL, the Kentucky Department of Corrections system, but KOOL is not a feed of ordinary Concord arrests.

Find a Concord Arrest Record

With no city feed, work a fallback chain. Collect the full name, a rough date and place, and any agency or case number. Do not assume "Lewis County" on a copied page means the arrest happened inside Concord's city limits.

  1. Contact the likely arresting agency. The Lewis County Sheriff's Office page lists the office and dispatch contacts. Ask whether the office handled the event and where the person was taken.
  2. Check the official Lewis County Detention Center page and its JailTracker link. The portal failed during research, so call 606-796-2722 when the page is unavailable or inconclusive.
  3. If the agency names Mason, Rowan, Montgomery, or another facility, use that jail's official custody or records channel. County agreements show alternate housing is possible, not that every jail should be searched at random.
  4. Search VINELink or call Kentucky VINE at 1-800-511-1670 for participating custody information and notification registration.
  5. Request the arrest report from the agency and the booking record from the receiving jail. Check the clerk or CourtNet for the later disposition.

A missing name proves little. Intake may not have posted yet, or the person gave a different recorded name. Release or a transfer to another facility can also hide a record. One call to the agency or jail beats repeated searches. A portal that shows nothing stays empty.

Note: Ask “Which agency arrested the person, and which jail accepted the booking?” before relying on any city or county label.

Concord Records Request Route

Concord has no police department or city records unit, so skip the invented municipal office. Send each request where the item lives. The arresting agency keeps the arrest report. The jail keeps the admission file and booking photo when releasable. Court filings belong to the clerk.

Lewis County Sheriff's Office

Vanceburg, KY 41179
Office: 606-796-2912
Dispatch: 606-796-0982
Fax: 606-796-2463

The Lewis County open-records page takes the county form. It also accepts the Kentucky Attorney General standard form. Submission can be in person, electronic, fax, or email where allowed. Name the person and narrow the date span. Describe the exact report or booking item. Add any event, jail, or case number. For sheriff material, the page lists Sheriff Johnny W. Bivens as custodian at 112 Second Street, Room 102, fax 606-796-2463. Suite and room formats vary, so check the mailing label. For jail records, Jailer Bryon Walker is the custodian. His office sits at 112 Second Street, Room 104, Vanceburg, KY 41179. The fax is 606-796-0822. The separate detention page shows 26 Railroad Street and phone 606-796-2722.

Kentucky gives the custodian five business days. That window covers granting access, denying it with a legal reason, or asking for more time. Copies run ten cents per page. Postage and some staff costs may apply. The Lewis County photo and record section maps the countywide booking-photo route.

No Concord Arrest Blotter

Concord publishes no daily arrest list. There is no multi-day blotter either. No police bulletin or mugshot gallery appears on the city's side of the ledger. Filling that gap invites confusion. A guessed police URL, a neighboring city's department, or a county aggregator dressed as a city service will only mislead. Concord's public arrest publishing runs through the county.

The county route has its own limits. Lewis County's detention page points to an older JailTracker endpoint. That endpoint opens no usable public listing. Its fields, photos, update rate, and retention window all remain unknown. The practical fallback is a call to the Jailer. Add a written request for the booking record. A booking or transfer elsewhere moves the file. The request must then follow it to the new custodian.

County fiscal papers hint at further routes. Lewis County has held documented agreements with outside jails. Partners have included the Rowan County Detention Center, the Montgomery County Regional Jail, and the Mason County Detention Center. The agreements span different periods. Those deals prove alternate custody paths exist. They do not place any Concord arrest in one of those jails today. Only a few sources can tie a person to a place and date. The arresting agency, the Jailer, the receiving facility, a VINE event, or the court record will do it.

Concord Location Labels

Geography trips up Concord searches more than anything else. Busted Newspaper, Recently Booked, Mugshots.com, Arrests.org, and Arre.st all carry or may carry Lewis County groupings. None offers a dependable Concord filter. Those pages often copy a facility label, an agency name, a residence, or a broad county category. None of those fields pins down where the arrest actually happened.

Treat a third-party entry as a lead only. Pull a date, agency, or facility from it. Then check that lead against an official source. Unofficial records run stale, incomplete, duplicated, or simply wrong. Recently Booked does publish a free route for eligible correction or removal requests, while the other named publishers list no current county-specific free policy. Mugshots.zone carries no Lewis County section at all.

Local news covers part of the gap. The Lewis County Herald, its public-notice archive, and the regional Ledger Independent report cases of public interest. Their work is selective and story driven. Coverage also lags booking, sometimes by weeks. Silence in the news is not a custody result.

Concord Arrest Custody Stages

Match each official system to its job. A fresh arrest starts with the arresting agency. A completed intake belongs to the receiving jail. VINE can flag custody events at participating agencies. A local release takes the person out of custody but leaves the agency report and court case intact. Later, state imprisonment or supervision may place the person in the Kentucky Online Offender Lookup. The Corrections Department updates KOOL daily, yet it is no same-day Lewis County booking roster.

Booking
The jail's intake process after an arrest, which creates an administrative custody record.
Bond
A court-set release condition. It is not a ruling on the charge.
Transfer
A move from one custodian or facility to another.
Disposition
The case result, such as dismissal, diversion, acquittal, plea, or conviction.

A judge decides release in Concord. Kentucky Pretrial Services may still interview and assess a person after an arrest. Its report only informs the court's decision. The Lewis County Court of Justice page names the Justice Center and lists clerk contacts in Vanceburg. CourtNet and the Judicial Indexes can help locate a case, though neither shows whether someone remains in jail.

Verify Concord Case Outcomes

A Concord arrest search should end at the courthouse, not at the booking charge. The booking record shows what the jail received that day. Prosecutors can amend the count later. A judge may dismiss the case or approve diversion. Conviction or acquittal comes much later. A copied mugshot page rarely captures that sequence.

The Lewis County Justice Center sits at 94 Second Street, P.O. Box 70, Vanceburg, KY 41179. Circuit Clerk Teresa Callahan is listed at 606-796-3053 and 606-796-6002. District Court convenes Tuesday, and Circuit Court sits the first and third Friday with criminal matters at 9:30 a.m. Ask the clerk for the current case record and any access rule before treating an old arrest entry as current.

This final step separates release from disposition. Release means the person left custody under bond, recognizance, court order, transfer, sentence, or another reason. It does not mean the charge went away. A court case can end while an old third-party mugshot stays online, so keep source, date, agency, facility, and court result distinct from one another.
